Mission
The Friends of Brooks Memorial Library support the library in providing the highest quality library service through advocacy, public relations, and fundraising.
Annual Appeal
The Friends and the Library Board of Trustees collaborate each year on the Annual Appeal, which funds valuable services, programs and equipment beyond the library’s regular operating budget.
Book Sales
We are not accepting book donations until Fall 2025.

- Swap Shop at Windham Solid Waste Management District
- WSWMD Book Recycling/Re-use
- Experienced Goods, benefiting Brattleboro Area Hospice
- Brattleboro Books, which has a wonderful and very selective collection. Call ahead!
Other Ways to Support the Library
- Volunteer, either on a regular basis or to help with special events and projects. We look forward to talking with you.
- Consider a bequest or beneficiary gift to sustain a vibrant public library for generations to come.
- Donate to the Trustee’s special funds help the Library purchase resources or provide general support. Honorary and memorial gifts pay tribute to special people.
- Surprise an out-of-town friend with a gift certificate for a Brooks Memorial Library card, which includes access to online resources like ebooks, audio, and streaming video. For more information, contact circulation@brookslibraryvt.org; 802-254-5290 ext. 0.
