Borrow fun & practical objects
- The Library uses an online reservation system for most of its Things. See below.
- You can also stop by to see if a Thing is available.
- Some Things are available on a seasonal basis, and others are available all year.
Year-Round Things

Kitchen tools and other year-round Things can be reserved and checked out at the first-floor circulation desk during regular library hours.
Things-by-Chance
We have additional Things, like hiking poles and wifi hotspots, that you can find in the library catalog. We sometimes call them “things-by-chance.” They are available first-come, first-served, but you can place holds through your regular library account with your card number and PIN, just as you would for books or DVDs.
Seasonal Things

Garden tools and ebikes are available spring through fall. They can be reserved ahead of time, and they have their own locations and schedules for pickup and return.
